BaseballMK Warhawks became the MK Yankees at the weekend and travelled to Coventry to play in the Mini World Series and came home the out-right winners.

Game 1 saw the MK Yankees take on the Dunlop Cardinals after a slow start watched the Yankees cage the Cardinals.
Game 2 saw the Yankees move to Pitch 2 to play the Horsham Angels with the game tied at the top of the fifth the Yankees finished the game with a winning run at the bottom of the fifth.
Game 3 the Yankees took on the Nottingham Devil Rays with the Yankees being the dominant team and in turn winning their league.
The Quarter-Final brought on the London Twins, with the Yankee's stopping the Twins chances of a Final Place.
The Semi-Finals returned the Horsham Angels and even though they came out fighting the Yankees were not going to let them get in there way of the final and closed them out in the fifth innings.
The Finals produced the Nottingham Phillies (last year's winners) but the Yankees where in full swing and sent them home in second place with a crashing win.

At the awards ceremony the Yankees Fiona Sheppard was named MVP of the tournament. There was some excellent play from Brendan Sheets, Tom McVay; The MK Yankees came home with the Clubs first Silverware.
