BaseballMK Pony team continued their winning start to the season with two victories in a doubleheader against London Mets played at Woughton.
The first game ended 14-6 with the starter Gordon Sheppard pitching into the sixth inning giving up only 4 runs. Aaron McVay scored four runs and Kieran O'Sullivan added three more with the whole team putting pressure on the London Mets pitching.
The second game looked to be over after two innings with London Mets holding an 8-1 lead. However, BaseballMK showed immense character to take the lead in the fourth inning and hold out for a fantastic 11-9 victory. Kieran O’Sullivan tamed the London Mets powerhouse hitting giving up only 1 run in the final four innings. David Ashmore drove in 3 important runs and Richard Camblin caught the final out deep in the outfield.
