BaseballMK Warhawks travelled to Brighton Buccaneers on Saturday and fought them on the beach with two outstanding victories. The Buccaneers who currently stand at the top of the Bronco Southern League were not expecting 4th place Warhawks to arrive and make them walk the plank.
Both games saw some excellent play including a Double Play from Short Stop Tom McVay to 2nd Base Chris Perry to 1st Base Fiona Sheppard normally only seen in the MLB games. Several players hit long to the Home Run Fence but ended up two bases earned as the ball bounced over the fence.
The Warhawks MVP for both games was new team member Brendan Sheets despite suffering jet-lag arriving from Washington the day before performed well both behind the plate and pitching and fitted in with the team as if he had always been with the team for the start of the season.
